Ramadan Recipe: SHRIKHAND RECIPE, HOW TO MAKE SHRIKHAND Easy And Simple – India is a country that has a wealth of culinary. Not only well known in his home country, India has many culinary even known in different countries. In India, many foods made from milk, but rarely is there a food that is made from meat. It is related to the Hindu belief that is forbidden to eat beef. Shrikhand is yogurt India with thick texture and delicious flavor. Shrikhand is known all over India especially in Gujarat and Maharashta. Shrikhand is often served during festivals, parties, or while hanging out with the family. Shrikhand is popular food made by mixing yoghurt with saffron and cardamom. This India-style yogurt is a yogurt with a thick texture that has been filtered with a paper bag so that it is thick and chunky with the aim of keeping the typical sour taste of yogurt. Sometimes this also added fat Yogurt butter and milk powder.

SHRIKHAND

Ingredients:

  • 15-20 strands Saffron
  • 2 tbsp Milk Warm
  • 3 cups Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Cardamom powder
  • Dry fruit slivers for garnishing

Instructions:

  1. Soak saffron in milk for 3-4 hours.

  2. Hang yogurt in a muslin cloth for 3-4 hours.

  3. Remove the thick yogurt from the cloth in a bowl.

  4. This thick yogurt is called chakka.

  5. Add powdered sugar, cardamom powder and saffron milk in the chakka and mix well.

  6. Transfer the srikhand in the serving bowls.

  7. Garnish with slivered dry fruits.

  8. Chill in the refrigerator before serving.

  9. Serve with puri or as such.
