Indonesian Best Dessert: ES TELER RECIPE – Indonesia has a refreshing culinary variety, such as es cendol, young coconut ice (es kelapa muda), es campur, es fruit (es buah). One of the characteristic of the es teler is the presence of pieces of avocado in it. There is also an additional mix of young coconut, jackfruit, coconut milk, sugar syrup, liquid, and shaved ice or ice cubes. At first glance it looks the same with iced berries, huh?

The difference is, es teler is more varied, not only filled with fruit only. Ice fruit sweet fruit blends also tend to be mixed with the syrup and milk. ES teler is a fruit cocktail native Indonesia. Avocado, coconut, jackfruit, grass jelly, and other fruits served with coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, leaves of Pandanus amaryllifolius leaf (usually in the form of a syrup flavor of coconut and pandan), sugar, and a pinch of salt.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Young Coconut
  • 1 Avocado, diced
  • 100 grams Palm seeds
  • 100 grams Jackfruit, cut into stick
  • 2 tablespoons Condensed Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Simple Syrup
  • 4 tablespoons Coconut Milk
  • 4 tablespoons Coconut Water
  • Some Ice

METHOD:

  1. Put coconut milk into a glass

  2. Add coconut water and young coconut

  3. Add simple syrup

  4. Add all the fruits: palm seeds, avocado, jackfruit

  5. Add some ice

  6. Add condensed milk

  7. Serve

ES teler, consists of young coconut shavings, pieces of fruit, jackfruit and avocado shavings which were given syrup and sweetened condensed milk. The taste is sweet, and a little savory!
